So, I applied for a photojournalism internship with The Roanoke Times ... didn't get it. I was not in the least bit surprised since they wanted me to already have the experience that I was hoping to get by having an internship, but I thought it was worth a shot. What was surprising, though, was when the director of photography called me and offered me a recommendation to do some freelance work for a different publication. I'm pretty freakin' psyched.
